This is an extreme cache thought up after doing a couple of CacheUNutters Extreme caches. It isn't for the faint hearted and don't expect it to be easy. Prior thought and use of some kind of flotation device or water craft will help you. It's for those of you who are fed up finding micros and want a real challenge.
This cache is only accessible by approaching it from the south. Park carefully on the road at N 51 56.687 W 002 25.345
Follow the Footpath (ish) up the side / in the old canal to N 51 56.818 W 002 25.468 which is the only entrance to the hippos' home. Hippos like muddy silty waters and if you have anything in common with Hippos you won't be disappointed with this cache. Continue into the hippos home towards the cache co-ordinates. The cache can be found 20m beyond the big air shaft.
