Keš je umístena blízko Hutského vodopádu, který se nachází na stejnojmenném potoce na ceste z Rokytnice na chatu Dvoracky.
The cache is placed near the Hutsky waterfall. You can find it on the way from Rokytnice to Dvoracky cottage.
Hutský vodopád byl v minulosti vyhledávaným výletním místem. Byla zde restaurace, kde se každou nedeli porádaly tancovacky. V hutském vodopádu padá voda z výšky 20 m a vodopád je napájen Hutským potokem, který pramení pod chatou Dvoracky. Název Hutský vznikl podle první sklárské huti v Krkonoších, ve které pracovala známá sklárská rodina Schüreru od roku 1562. Pozdeji, po vycerpání zásob dreva v okolních lesích, sklárské hute zanikly a od roku 1625 za podpory Albrechta z Valdštejna rozvíjela se zde težba stríbra, medi a olova. Po Valdštejnove smrti došlo k úpadku dulní cinnosti, kterou se již nepodarilo obnovit. Místní obyvatelé se poté zacali orientovat na výrobu sukna a plátna a soucasne na budní hospodárství.
Keš je umístena na vrchní hrane vodopádu u zbytku náhonu.
In the past, the Hutský waterfall was a sought-after trip destination. There was a restaurant here, in which hoedowns took place every Sunday. The Hutský waterfall is 20 m high and its water comes from the Hutský stream, which rises below the Dvoracky chalet. It was named Hutský (meaning "relating to glassworks") after the first glassworks in the Giant Mountains, in which the famous Schürer family worked from the year 1562. Later, after depletion of wood reserves in surrounding woods, the glassworks ceased to exist, and from the year 1625, extraction of silver, copper, and lead supported by Albrecht of Valdštejn developed here. After Valdštejn's death, the mining activity declined and was never restored again. The local inhabitants then started to focus on production of cloth and at the same time on transhumant economy.
The cache is placed at the upper part of the waterfall near ruins of artifitial headrace.
