St Andrew - Stanton Upon Hine Heath
This cache is one of a series set at or near churches in the lovely surroundings of the Shropshire countryside. NB THIS IS A STANDALONE CACHE AND NO LONGER PART OF A SERIES

St Andrew's is in the quiet village of Stanton Upon Hine Heath. The churchyard is circular and stands on raised ground, which is thought to represent an early Irish / Welsh tradition, which in turn influenced the sites of future churches. The Domesday Book records both a church and a priest at the site.
The church has various Norman features including two Norman doorways - the one in the south wall is plain but the one in the north wall has one order of shafts and capital bearing upright leaves. The huge buttresses that suppport the tower were added in 1666 to prevent the tower slipping down the mound.
Cache Details
This is a multi-cache as the chance to take cachers to a lovely spot not too far from the churchyard was too good to miss. You can either walk to the final location or drive a bit closer and come at it from a different direction.
The co-ordinates take you to the first part of the cache. Look for the two years associated with William Henry Griffiths: call them ABCD-EFGH. The final cache is then at N52 48.CCD W2 37.F(C+H)G.
