Geocache Description:

This geocache has been placed on a favourite nature trail of ours. It's name means Diana, Goddess of Forests, hence the title.

The trail is a circular walk of approximately 7 kms which is mostly flat and follows a contour line. It would take approximately 2.5 hrs to complete.
On this stroll you will be able to look out for and appreciate:-

Beautiful views from all four compass points (weather permitting).
The view to the north west of the plain and coast near Morfou.
Look westwards to see the Berengaria Hotel, Prodromos Dam and Kykko Monastery.
The sound of running water and crossing streams (depending on the time of year).
Birds singing.
Rocks that sparkle in the sunlight.
Dead trees which form their own natural sculptures (including one which looks like a preying mantis!).
A giant pinus tree (over 500 years old) though there are more.
Ruins of fortifications built by the Venetians in 1571 to hold back the advancing Turkish army. TEISIA TIS PALIAS CHORAS.
Crossing several ski runs.

These co-ordinates,34deg 55.989' N, 032deg 52.326' E, will take you to a car park and the start of the walk. Start in a clockwise direction following the blobs of red paint and the directions given.
Be aware of the time of year. Wear good walking boots, sufficient clothing and of course, WATER.
ENJOY!!
