Els
Pallaresos:Casa Bofarull i Escaletes de la
Seu.
Us convidem a fer una agradable
passejada per un dels pobles més emblemàtics del Tarragonès. Les
primeres referències sobre la població daten del segle XIV. Es diu,
encara que no se sap del cert, que el nom d’aquesta població deriva
del fet que els seus habitants provenien de les comarques
pirenaiques del Pallars.
Es troba situat en un turó de
125 m. d’altitud. En els seus terrenys hi predomina la garriga i el
bosc de pins
La Festa Major d'hivern és el
20 de gener, per Sant Sebastià. I la Festa Major d'estiu el 6
d'agost, per la festivitat de la Transfiguració del
Senyor.
L’arquitecte modernista Josep
M. Jujol feu diverses obres al poble: les escoles i la casa
del comú (1920), la Casa Andreu de la Plaça de l'Església, la reixa
de la Casa Solé (1927), la reforma de la casa d'Emília Fortuny
(1944) i els altars laterals (1945-47) de l'església parroquial de
Sant Salvador. Però la Casa Bofarull és la seva obra més important
al poble, i l’edifici civil més representatiu de l’obra de Jujol en
la província de Tarragona. Realitzà una reforma total entre els
anys 1914-1931 en l’edifici rural preexistent, amb la intenció de
"eliminar l’aspecte descuidat de la casa i ennoblir-la". L’eix
central de la casa està constituïda per la torre de planta
quadrada, coronada per una estructura de ceràmica sostinguda per
quatre pilars i rematada per un parallamps en forma d’àngel . En
l’angle més a ponent de l’edifici s’alça una torre coronada per
quatre cantons, obrint-se en aquest espai balcons amb fantàstiques
baranes metàliques i finestres esquitllevades, algunes amb reixes
forjades. A la façana posterior es construeix una galeria d’arcs de
ferradura, utilitzant totxanes i fràgils columnes. En la galeria
posterior es conserven encara que deteriorades, pintures de les
estacions, realitzades pel mateix Jujol. La façana principal de la
casa s’orienta a l’oest, destacant la porta d’accés, que presenta
arcs de mig punt d’estil romànic primitiu, amb una inscripció en la
volta externa que haureu d’utilitzar més endavant.

Al costat hi ha un restaurant
dit, “ El Paller”, on si just quan feu el caché és hora de menjar
us recomanem molt que hi aneu! Aquí heu de comptar quants fanalets
hi ha al voltant de la porta= D. Fixeu-vos també en la reixa forjada que
hi ha la casa tocant a l’església, “Cal Solé”, també obra de
Jujol.

caminada, tot allunyant-vos del poble, per anar a trobar el 1r

Quan l’hagueu trobat, sota una
pedra, tindreu les coordenades per anar al següent punt.
Les “Escaletes de la Seu”,
indret molt conegut per tot el poble. Aquí haureu de trobar el 2n
tresor, el qual us donarà les coordenades per al tresor final. Aneu
amb molt de compte al baixar, si la roca està mullada!
Finalment arribareu a l’últim
caché, a on podreu gaudir d’unes magnifiques vistes de la Costa de
Tarragona, i si fa un bon dia fins i tot podreu veure el Cap de
Salou!

We invite you to making
a pleasant walk for one of the most emblematic

House , the grille of

church of Sant Salvador. But the Bofarull Houseit’s hismore important work in the
village, and the civil building more representative of the
work of Jujolin the province of Tarragona. He carried out a total reform between the years
1914-1931 in the pre-existent rural building, with the
intention of "to eliminate the neglected
aspect from the houseand to ennoble it". The central axis of the houseis constituted by the tower of
square plant, crowned by a structure of
pottery sustainedby four pillars and with a
lightningrod in the form of angel. In the
westpart of the building a tower crowned by four sides is
raised, fantastic balconies with metal railings, some with
forged grilles. At the back of the building is a
gallery with paintings of the seasons, carried out by Jujol. The main façade of the
houseorients itself to the west, highlighting the door of
access, which presentsarches of half a point of primitive Romanesque style,
with an inscription in the external turn that you will have
to use later
on.
