Geocache Description:

By the Light of the Silvery Moon

Photobucket Place: Park
Scene: Dark
Silv'ry Moon is shining through the trees,
Cast: Two,
Me, you,
Sound of kisses floating on the breeze;
Act one: begun,
Dialogue "Where would ya like to spoon?"
My cue: with you,
Underneath the silv'ry moon.

By the light, of the silvery moon,
I want to spoon,
To my honey I'll croon love's tune.
Honey moon, keep a-shinin' in June.
Your silv'ry beams will bring love's dreams,
We'll be cuddlin' soon,
By the silvery moon.

3/01/22 - TRAIL CLOSED -- Temporarily moving the start point due to bird nesting. N 47 51.186 W 122 35.343. Park at the new start point, look for 2 stars (glints) and continue following stars to the final.

Begin at the parking coordinates and take a short stroll to the trail head. Here you should spot your first "silv'ry moon". Holding your flashlight at eye level, follow the trail of single "stars" to a second silv'ry moon. Here you'll find a small path into the trees. Single stars continue along this path, a little closer together. Follow them until you reach the twin stars -- you're almost there! From the twins continue south for approximately 30' to a third and final silv'ry moon. Follow the simple instructions to claim your prize. That's all there is to it!

You'll need the basic equipment that all night caches require: sturdy shoes, LED flashlights and extra batteries. Insect repellent is recommended in the summer. There's safety in numbers, so be sure to bring a friend or two.

The trail is wide and mostly level until you reach the path at the second silv'ry moon. At this point you're getting pretty close to the cache. The path is uneven with possible tripping hazards though, so use caution!

Please be careful to place everything back EXACTLY how you found it so the next cacher has the same experience you did. The "stars" (trail markers) should help guide you back out, but it wouldn't hurt to have your GSP with you -- breadcrumbs turned ON (it will also help you find south if you are "directionally challenged.") Good luck and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!
