A bog is a wetland which is limited by nutrients, which causes a vegetative plant mat to grow out from the shore along the surface of the water.
The bog/island/cache is located in Renforth, NB. This is one way to get there:
Make your way to Hwy1 (Mackay Highway). Take Exit 133 to Rothesay (aka Fox Farm Rd exit). Get on the gravel road and park at N 45 21.202 W 66 00.306. Hike the road for a short distance then head out onto the bog. You may notice the “island” really isn’t an island so you won’t have to swim. Cache is a plastic spaghetti container wrapped with camo duck tape. If you take photos of the area please add them to the gallery. We hope you enjoy your visit to A Wee Bog Island. Good luck in finding the cache.
GPS WAAS accuracy was 2.8m when the cache was stashed.
ORIGINAL CONTENTS OF THE CACHE:
• Logbook
• Pen & Pencil
• Laminated FTF certificate

While walking into a bog you are sometimes on dry ground, sometimes wading in knee deep water and occasionally fall through (only to the waist) to the plant mat. Be careful, hungry carnivorous plants inhabit the bog.
