Geocache Description:


Enonkoski bridge cache:This cache is situated in Enonkoski municipality (founded on 1882), just 30 km north of Opera –city Savonlinna. The cache itself presents one interesting part of Enonkoski: the nice bridges crossing the beautiful river and rapids in the centre of the municipality. When visiting the cache it is also a good idea to stop at local “Parish –museum” at the church hill or stop at Koloveden Opastuskeskus (guiding center for Kolovesi Nature presevation area) next to the old “rock bridge”. There You can found more info about Enonkoski and other attractions there. Finnish information can be found also via this link: www.enonkoski.fi. The cache (small plastic box) can be found as well winter or summer time and it has been hidden in the bridge base itself.

Kätkö sijaitsee Enonkosken kunnassa (perustettu vuonna 1882) noin 30 km pohjoiseen Savonlinnan oopperakaupungista. Kuntakeskusta halkoo upea joki, kauniine koskineen ja siltoineen. Kätköä etsiessä on mainio idea poiketa myös Pitäjänmuseossa kirkonmäellä ja Koloveden opastuskeskuksessa kosken rannalla aivan vanhan kivisillan vierellä. Näistä kohteista löytyy myös lisää tietoa kunnan muista nähtävyyksistä samoin kuin kunnan nettisivustolta osoitteesta: www.enonkoski.fi . Kätkö itse on pienehkö muovinen rasia, joka on piilotettuna yhden sillan perustukseen. Kätkö on löydettävissä vuodenajoista riippumatta.
