Geocache Description:

While contemplating the name for this cache I had many ideas but they all floated like led balloons
Just off the Gateway
Oh Christmas tree
Santa takes the hill
Santa and the maitre d's
Dead end
Park and a go go
etc...

Usually I am inspired by the environment, terrain, view, or even the cache container but this time nothing seemed right. til I looked up to the universe and it hit me (don't worry I'm OK). This is my forty second cache. 42 the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything... even cache names. I know... 'whats special about forty two? there's others with hundreds even thousands of hides'. Well this is my milestone!.. anybody can celebrate 50 but how many people celebrate 42? hmmm?

42 (forty-two) is the natural number following 41 and preceding 43.

This is the 42 cache on the Gateway trail... possibly? (I didn't actually count)

42 the age I'll be someday.. when I quit being 39

Exactly 42 miles away there are three geocaches.. all in Wisconsin (thats 208 pages of nearest caches)

Parking only 42 steps away... unless you have shorter legs than I (Im 9' tall)

42 years ago on the boob tube you might tune in for the first time to The Monkeys, Batman, Star Trek, or even Family Affair

There is a bench mark 42 feet away from this cache.. maybe? ( I didn't have a tape measure and my gps doesn't go that low)

"42 is a nice number that you can take home and introduce to your family" Douglas Adams

Eventually as in yesterday.. there will be a Douglas Adams 42 geocoin number available in the cache as a bonus for the finders to discover.

There is a cache container here which is larger than 42mm and smaller than 42 inches... please don't overfill and never leave lighters or matches as Smokey Bear wouldn't approve

"There is a theory which states that if anybody ever discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened." -Douglas Adams
