Geocache Description:

Number 246 in the Church Micro Series.

St. Michael and All Angels is a late Norman Church, built from Kentish ragstone with a 15th century roof. The church is popular and busy with numerous services taking place throughout the year.

Kingsnorth is mentioned in the Domesday Book, and excavations taken place before the new estates were built in and around the village suggest that its earliest residents may have lived there up to 28,000 years ago. The village is home to many interesting and varied styles of buildings, one example of which is Mouse Hall near the entrance to the church, which dates from the 15th Century and is thought to have been a priest’s house.

The Greensand Way, a long distance footpath stretching from Haslemere in Surrey to Hamstreet in Kent, passes through the parish on the final stretch.

If anybody would like to expand the Church Micro series please do, we would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names, to avoid duplication.
