Castro de Santa Olaia
No outeiro de Santa Olaia, onde existe uma capela, encontram-se vestígios de uma estação arqueológica.
As escavações efectuadas entre 1915 a 1920, puseram a descoberto restos de várias casas de planta rectangular, com cerca de 3,5 metros por 2,5 metros, construídas com pequenas pedras cimentadas com argila, correspondentes a três níveis sucessivos de ocupação durante a Idade do Ferro, além de vestígios de construções posteriores.
Alguns objectos dispersos atestam a ocupação durante o Neolítico, embora não se tenham encontrado as habitações correspondentes.
Os objectos mais importantes recolhidos nos níveis da Idade do ferro são cerca de 30 grandes potes reconstituídos e restos de muito outros, em geral com asas circulares e por vezes pintados com faixas horizontais e outros motivos a castanho, vermelho e branco, característicos dos estabelecimentos ibero-púnicos, e dezenas de tigelas, por vezes também pintadas, geralmente associadas aos potes, julgando-se que serviriam de tampas dos mesmos, além de uma grande variedade de cerâmica de outros tipos, e ainda numerosos cossoiros de barro que atestam a importância da tecelagem.
Recolheram-se ainda várias fíbulas e outras peças de bronze, cobre, chumbo e ferro, pesos de rede, representativos da actividade piscatória, que deve ter sido importante, contas de colar e outros objectos de vidro e osso e ainda pequenos moinhos circulares e vários objectos de pedra.
A alimentação dos habitantes encontra-se documentada por restos de ovicaprídeos, bovídeos, coelhos, veados e javalis e por valvas de ostras e de outros moluscos.

Santa Olaia archeological station
In Santa Olaia hill, where there is a chapel, we can find vestiges of an archaeological station.
The excavations carried out between 1915 and 1920, have discovered the remains of several houses of rectangular shape, with about 3.5 meters by 2.5 meters, constructed with small stones cemented with clay, corresponding to three successive levels of occupancy during the Iron Age, and traces of buildings beyond.
Some objects scattered attest to the occupation during the Neolithic, but no correspondent housing was found.
The most important objects collected in the Iron Age levels are about 30 large pots reconstituted and remains of many others, generally circular with wings and sometimes painted with horizontal bands and other reasons, with brown, red and white colours, typical from Ibero-púnicos establishments, and dozens of bowls, sometimes painted, usually associated with pots, believing that they serve as lids of the same, plus a variety of other types of ceramics, and even many cossoiros of clay that attest to the importance of weaving.
Fíbulas and several other pieces of bronze, copper, lead and iron, net weights, representative of fishing activity, which must have been important, collar balls and other objects of glass and bone, and small mills and various circulars objects of stone, were also found.
The nutrition of the inhabitants is documented by remains of ovicaprídeos, bovine, rabbits, deer and wild boar and for valves of oysters and other shellfish.
