Geocache Description:

This is a small plastic box located near the end of a nature/historical trail, along route 30 behind a baseball field, in Speculator NY, in the Southern Adirondacks.

This is a great cache for anyone and everyone. Hidden along the Sacandaga Pathway, you can learn the History & Natural Science of the Southern Adirondacks, while looking for this cache. We are honored to have permission to place this cache in such a well organized and beautiful setting from the County Historian, Paul Wilbur. Though this cache is a little easy to find, we recommend that you take your time and read all the plagues and info along the way. There is picnic tables before and along the pathway. This cache and pathway is GREAT for Handicaps.

Do not look for this cache in the Spring. The path is flooded during this time, because of the rise of the Sacandaga River. We also ask of you to trade only GREEN items in this cache.
Please bring your own writing implement.
