Small cache in Meadows Park of Rosemount.
This is a cache in a series. “PL Cache to Eagle” highlights the accomplishments of Eagle Scouts throughout the Prairie Lakes District of the Northern Star Council.
This park has several fine examples of what a Scout is capable of doing. In order to achieve the rank of Eagle, a Scout must plan and implement a service project to demonstrate his communcation and management abilities.
As you ponder this cache location, look across the park to the sand volleyball court. The court was built by an Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 270 in Rosemount.
Another Eagle Scout from Troop 270 cleared non-native trees and planted several burr oak trees as part of an oak savanna restoration. This project is just north of the playground.
Two other scouts built projects to benefit area birds. One project was a Chimney Swift Tower. The other placed Blue Bird houses in Meadows, Schwarz Pond, and Innis Free parks in Rosemount.
The cache is a pill bottle appropriately colored. It contains a log and a pencil. Stealth is required especially during baseball and soccer seasons.
