A simple traditional cache along the new bridleway, Hawthorndale
Lane, forming part of the "Nuptown" cache ring.
To the south of the lane lies the Jealott's Hill agricultural
research laboratories of Syngenta. A public right of way ran right
through the middle of their site, which was problematic. The
solution was to close this right of way and replace it with
Hawthorndale Lane, the first new stretch of bridleway in Warfield
for many years. The bridleway runs from the junction of Penfurzen
Lane and Hawthorn Lane all the way to Gough's Barn Lane, via a
junction with Pendry's Lane, getting horses off the dangerous A330.
The bridleway was a joint project between Syngenta, Bracknell
Forest Borough Council and Warfield Parish Council.
