Das Naturdenkmal Saurierfährten
Zentrum des Museum ist die „Fährtenplatte“, das 3500m2 große Naturdenkmal mit 250 echten Dinosaurierspuren. In der Kreidezeit vor 140 Mio. Jahren lebten in der Region um Hannover riesige Pflanzenfresser und hinterließen ihre Trittsiegel im Schlamm einer flachen Lagune des urzeitlichen Meeres. Die enorme Anzahl und gute Erhaltung dieser Trittspuren ist weltweit bisher einmalig. Die große internationale Bedeutung für Wissenschaft und Forschung hat zur Unterschutzstellung als Naturdenkmal geführt. Die in der luftigen Glashalle geschützten Fährten wurden von zwei verschiedenen Arten von Pflanzenfressern erzeugt.
Wie ihr schon lesen konntet, handelt es sich hier um eine Fundstelle von Dinosaurierspuren. Die Logbedingungen bei diesem Cache sind einfach.
Über ein Foto von euch mit einem großen Dino vor/in dem Park würde ich mich freuen. Und dann gibt es natürlich noch die üblichen Fragen, die per Mail zu beantworten sind. Die Logfreigabe gilt automatisch, wenn ich mich nicht melde. Habt Spaß und freut euch auf die Dinos und ihre realen Spuren.

The natural monument Saurierfährten (dinosaur tracks)
Center of the museum is the "tracks plate", a 3500m2 natural monument with 250 genuine dinosaur tracks. In the cretaceous period 140 million years ago huge herbivores lived in the area around Hanover and left their tracks in the mud of a shallow lagoon of the primeval ocean. The enormous number and good conservation of these tracks is uniqe and so far unprecedented. The great international importance for science and research has led to its protection as a natural monument. The airy glass hall tracks were created by two different types of herbivores.
