The location of the cache is near a room used three centuries ago during the Knights of St. John era for washing clothes. THe clothes were washed by Maltese woman and foreign slaves.
Come and be part of history. Find the cache near a historical site outside the walls of the Silent City - Mdina or Medina: old capital city.
(Unfortunately this historical site has been neglected by our authorities but I have reported the state of this site and hope that in the next few months attention shall be given. It seems with so historical places in Malta there is never enough money to take care of all of them).
Sometimes water comes out inside the rooms and it is pure water because it is coming from the rocks. However I do not suggest to drink it because it might have nitrates.
BE CAREFUL FOR THE TOURIST TRAIN which comes speeding up the hill.
Try to make the geocache box conspicuous as much as possible by hiding it with stones
DO NOT DESTROY ANY RUBBLE WALL. BE CAREFUL TO PUT BACK STONES WHICH HAVE BEEN MOVED IN THEIR ORIGINAL PLACE.
