Os
Moinhos da Menta
encontram-se no alto do Cerro da
Menta, no coração da Serra do Caldeirão,
no concelho de São Brás de Alportel,
a 505m de altitude, de onde é possível observar o mar e a beleza e
esplendor desta Serra Algarvia.
A vegetação natural da Serra do Caldeirão é influenciada pelas
variações climáticas, predominando na zona essencialmente o
sobreiro, a azinheira, carvalho-cerquinho e o medronheiro.
A fauna é constituída essencialmente pela lontra, lobo ibérico,
sapo-parteiro-ibérico, águia de bonelli, águia imperial ibérica,
cegonha negra, abetarda, javali, coelho, lebre, gineta, bufo-real
entre muitas outras espécies.
Aprecie o momento e fundamentalmente
divirta-se.

Aconselha-se vivamente, com as devidas precauções, a subida ao topo
da torre de vigia, de onde se poderá contemplar,
uma
fabulosa
vista panorâmica de 360º, sobre os belos recursos naturais da Serra
do Caldeirão. Facto pelo qual recomendo a utilização de
binóculos, bem como de máquina fotográfica para registarem esse
cenário paisagístico.

The Moinhos da
Menta are on the top of
Cerro da Menta, in
the heart of Serra do Caldeirão, in the municipaly of São
Brás de Alportel, at 505m of altitude, where it is possible
to observe the sea and the beauty of this wondeful Serra
Algarvia.
The natural vegetation of Serra do Caldeirão is
influenced by the climatic variations, predominating in the
zone essentially, the cork oak, holm oak, lusitano oak and
the strawberry tree.
The fauna is essentially composed by many species such as the
otter, iberian wolf, iberian midwife toad, bonelli's eagle, iberian
imperial eagle, black stork, bustard, boar, rabbit, hare, common
genet, eurasian eagle-owl and so many others.
Enjoy the moment and please had fun.

It is strongly recommended, with the necessary
precautions, the ascent to the top of the observation tower,
from where it will be possible to contemplate an
extraordinary panoramic sight, in 360º, over the beautiful
natural resources of Serra do Caldeirão. Fact for which I
advise the use of binoculars, as well as the photographic
camera to capture this landscape scene.
