ERMITA DE LA MARE DE DEU DE L'ALEGRIA

Coordenadas de la Ermita: 41º 29.339N / 002º 16.278E.

Es la antigua iglesia parroquial de Tiana y como tal está documentada desde el año 1018 y parece que fué construida sobre los restos de una villa romana. Un nuevo templo románico fué consagrado en el 1104. El edificio actual es del Siglo XVI, muy reformado y ampliado en el Siglo XVIII (en la fachada vemos la fecha de 1729). Los documentos más antiguos que hacen referencia al culto a la Madre de Dios de la Alegría son de la segunda mitad del Siglo XVII.


Tiene una nave rectangular encabezada por un ábside poligonal y un campanario de torre que tiene ventanas apuntadas y cubierta piramidal a cuatro vertientes. El interior está decorado con pinturas murales de Ignasi Serra Goday del año 1970.

Easy cache for all the family. It is in the village of Tiana.

Coordinates of the hermitage: 41º 29.339N / 002º 16.278E.

It is the former parish church of Tiana and as such is documented since 1018 and it seems that it was built on the ruins of a Roman villa. A new Romanesque temple was consecrated in 1104. The current building is the sixteenth century, very reformed and expanded in the eighteenth century (in the facade we see the date 1729). The older documents that refer to the worship of the Mother of God of Joy are in the second half of XVII Century.


It has a rectangular nave headed by a polygonal apse and a bell tower that has targeted and windows covered pyramid to four strands. The interior is decorated with murals of Ignasi Serra Goday 1970.
