Church Micro 226 - St Georges Church Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Deceangi: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Please avoid geolitter by removing any remaining traces of your cache or contact a local cacher to do so for you. If you are having difficulty doing so then please contact me via my profile and I will try to get someone to assist. This is particularly important if your cache appears to contain Travelbugs or Geocoins.

Geocache Description:

Don’t forget this cache is part of the St Georges and St Mathews parish cache series so don’t forget to note down the clue in the cache.

This micro geocache is by St Georges Church Tolworth. This geocache has no terrain difficulties at all. To retrieve the cache you need to be tall.

Church

There is parking at the coordinates so you wont have a problem there.

The cache is a 35 mm film canister and although I have put the cache as wheelchair accesible but you need a person who can reach up high to get to the cache.

To retrieve the cache you do NOT need to enter the church grounds at any point.

To find the cache you need to find the numbers for A to G. you can find this when you go to the above coordinates and if you go on the link below.

A is the third number on the metal board. B is the 5th number on the metal board. C is the 8th number on the metal board

The metal board is pictured in the pictures below. Please look so you dont get the wrong board. The numbers on the board have been covered so you have to go there to work out the final coordinates.

The rest of the numbers can be found on the churche website below.

D and E is the D2th June 19E4 which was the year when the church was consecrated.

F is the date the Jubilee room was completed and it was not 2000. It was 200F.

G is the date the garden to the east of the church was sold for housing (and garages). It was 19G0.

When you have found these letters. You put them together like this to get the coordinates for the cache.

N 51° (F)(G - 6).(C + E) (A) (B + D - 1) W 000 (D) (F x 3).(B x B) (C + 1) (G - 2)

The relavent webpage for getting the answers to letters D-G is: http://www.stgeorgestolworth.org/

If any body would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
