Killamery, County Kilkenny. Reasonably flat grassy terrain with some rocks hidden under the higher tufts.
Killamery is situated only 15km north of Carrick On Suir, County Tipperary. It is located at the end of a short track which is only 250 metres from the N76 Clonmel road.
St. Goban Find is reputed to have been the founder of the original monastery here. Not far from the modern ruined church stands the fine High Cross which has been dated to the 9th century. Both cross and base are richly ornamented with a variety of geometric motifs. The cross had a capstone which was used locally as a cure for headaches.
Also present at the site is the wonderfully inscribed cross slab and two bullaun stones. There is a very neglected holy well just down the steps on the north side of the cross.
The cache is a small square camouflaged tupperware box. BYOP.
