Its a short coastal walk which is popular with dog walkers and with good views to be had across the bay.
From the carpark you can see the marina and also the martime museum which is the modern looking building. There is also a nice little beach there with clean sand. As you look north east 'ish' (towards town) along the grassy bank there is an impressive memorial for fishermen who were lost at sea. It is quite unassuming and possibily not well known to people?
As you walk on a bit further the walk splits into 2 and both walks take you round the bay to the edge of town.
On a nice day you can sit and watch boats coming and going out of the harbour.
