Geocache Description:

BYO IP (Bring your own ink pad) :)

Help Chicagoland! Vampires try to take over the Windy City! I’ve noticed them gathering in Internet forums lately, and Chicago seems to be the ideal place for them to survive during the day.

Looking for obvious signs of this disturbing development, I finally spotted a vampire with his distinctive teeth right in the Loop. He was standing about 250 feet north of me, and I hurried to take my position with the GPS (see coordinates above). But he must have noticed me. I only looked at the GPS display for a second, and the next moment the vampire had vanished. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t able to get into one of the buildings.
After searching for a while, I finally entered a place more suitable for vampires. There, I found a sheet of paper with strange symbols and a compass on the floor. I suspect the vampire lost these items while he tried to escape. If so, it seems the creatures have already marked the spot for their future castle. The rest of the symbols don’t make any sense to me.

I took the sheet of paper with me and uploaded the front and back side here. Maybe one of you is able to understand their meaning. Sorry but I was so nervous that I forgot the compass. Hopefully, nobody has picked it up in the meantime.
Hurry before it’s too late! The vampire empire marker must be found very soon to save our city.

Some additional remarks:
Don't start this letterbox after ~ 7:00 pm Monday to Friday or ~ 6:00 pm on Saturday, and don’t try on Sundays. The walk generally is very safe. But anxious people might feel more comfortable to cache in a group. The whole way is open to the public, even though you’ll have to pass some stretches of non-public property. It takes about 1 hour to complete. The cache doesn't make a loop, but your GPS helps to find the fastest way back to the starting point. The letterbox itself contains a rubber stamp, which is NOT a trade item. Bring a pencil and a stamp pad - the final location didn’t allow something bigger than a micro. Also, don't forget to take a printout of the drawings with you. Garlic and a crucifix could be useful, too ;-)
