I was running out ideas. I then thought of consulting the great
Master organist. His music has inspired me before; maybe he can
give me a good idea for the next cache.
"Master, where should I put my next cache?"
The Master never said a word. He gravely looked deep into my soul.
I felt somewhat uncomfortable. Then his expression relaxed. He even
smiled a bit. I felt relieved. I watched in amazement as his
fingers approached the
triple manual keyboard. I gasped in anticipation of his next
revelation. Then his fingers seemed to dance on the instrument. An
amazing choreography. I took good notes. At the end of the theme,
we looked at each other. I nodded in appreciation and
understanding.
"Yes, Master, that is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you."
I left, all smiles, and went straight to the cache location and
gently placed it.
{Yes. The Master sure chose a good location. But it might be a bit
damp in springtime...}

Unbeknownst to the Master, some evil doers came along and
pilfered the cache. I prepared a replacement, and asked the Master
for a new and more subtle placement. Slightly annoyed, he answered
this. His gaze told me that it was an easier location to get
to, has very little poison ivy in the wooded area, is more
camouflaged and would not be wet in springtime (no kidding!).
Don't be alarmed by the Master's excentricity. He really is a
nice fellow. Rumor has it that he can talk, but prefers to draw
stick letters and numbers with his fingers on the keyboard, each
spaced by a moment of silence.

Je manquait d'idées. Puis j'ai pensé au Grand Maître
organiste. Sa musique m'a souvent inspiré; peut-être

"Maître, où devrais-je placer ma prochaine cache?"
Le Maître ne me répondit pas. Il regarda gravement dans mon
esprit. J'en étais très secoué. Puis, son visage de
détendit. Il m'a même sourit, je crois. J'en était
soulagé. Je regardit avec fascination alors que Ses doigts se
rapprochèrent du
clavier triple. J'anticipait sa prochaine
révélation. Puis ses doigts semblaient danser sur
l'instrument. Ce fut une choréographie impressionnante.
J'ai bien noté toute son oeuvre. A la fin du concerto, nous
nous regardions fixement. Je lui hocha la tête; j'avais bien
compris.
"Oui, Maître, c'est exactement ce que je recherchais.
Merci."
Je quitta, le sourire fendu jusqu'aux oreilles, et me rendit
immédiatement jusqu'au site de la cache, et la plaça
gentiment.
(Oui, le Maître avait bien choisi, mais cet emplacement peut être
un peu humide au printemps...)

A l'insu du Maître, un méchant géomoldu est passé par là et a
abimé la cache. Je l'ai réparée et j'ai été voir le Maître
pour qu'il me révèle un nouvel emplacement plus subtil. Il en
était très agacé, mais m'a répondu
ceci. Son expression, ensuite, me dit que cet emplacement
était beaucoup plus facile d'accès, avait très peu d'herbe à puce
dans le boisé, était mieux camouflé et ne sera pas trempe au
printemps (je suis parfaitement sérieux!).
Ne soyez pas amadoués par l'apparente excentricité du
Maître. Il est très gentil. On entends même des rumeurs
qu'il peut parler, mais préfère tracer des symboles de nombres et
de lettres avec ses doigts sur le clavier, chaque symbole étant
séparé par une pause d'un temps.
