Construite à l'emplacement d'un oratoire
du XIIème siècle, au lieu-dit "La Haute Grange", elle fut habitée
par un ermite dépendant de l'abbaye de l'Etanche.
Détruite par les suédois en 1636, reconstruite en 1672 puis
anéantie durant la Grande Guerre. Restaurée, elle est de plus en
plus victime des vandales.
La source Sainte Geneviève fut un lieu de pèlerinage aux XVIIIème
et XIXème siècles. Elle soignait la fièvre et les yeux. Avant 1914,
il y avait deux fabriques d'eau gazeuse issue de cette
source.
La carrière, derrière la chapelle, fut exploitée par les français
et les allemands au moment de la reconstruction. Elle inscrit
maintenant une large verrue dans le paysage.

destroyed again during the first world war, it was restored during
the XXth century but is now more and more victim of
vandalism.
During the XVIIIth and the XIXth century, Sainte Genevieve spring
was a place of pilgrimage. It treated temperature and eyes. Before
1914, there were two sparkling water factories that bottled water
from the spring.
The quarry behind the chapel was used by the French then by the
Germans at the moment of the reconstruction. Unfortunately, it now
looks like a large wart in the landscape.
