"Penguin" sets out on his way to place his VIP cache.

Ischgl ist das größere von den beiden Dörfern, die die Silvretta Arena für Wintersport ausmachen. Drei Gondelbahnen steigen vom Dorf hoch in die Berge Wir haben hier in den letzten Jahren regelmäßig Skiurlaub gemacht und haben ihn jetzt mit Geocaching kombiniert. Allerdings brauchen Sie nicht Ski zu laufen, um diesen Cache zu finden.

Die Koordinaten für den Cache liegen in der Nähe der Talstation der Pardatschgratbahn, die im Jahr 1990 erbaut wurde. Während unserer Urlaube hat "Pinguin" immer eine besondere Gondel auf der Pardatschgratbahn bemerkt, die sich von von allen anderen unterscheidet. Er war ganz überrascht, als sie zufällig bei der Talstation ankam, als wir die Gondel nehmen wollten. Er wollte einen Geocache in dieser Gondel verstecken, aber da das war nicht möglich war, haben wir stattdessen ein Rätsel ausgedacht, daß sie beteiligt erstellt.

Die Gondel ist eine "VIP Gondel", weil sie einen Fensteraufkleber mit "*VIP*" darauf hat. Sie können den Cache nur erfüllen, wenn die Pardatschgratbahn läuft, weil Sie die "VIP Gondel" genau wie Pinguin identifizieren und sich die Nummer merken müssen . Es gibt etwa 200 Gondeln auf der Bahn, so Sie müssen aufpassen.

Die "VIP Gondel" hat jedoch eine niedrige Nummer. Sobald Sie die Nummer wissen, müssen Sie auf der Pardatschgratbahn fahren (oder den Berg darunter hinaufsteigen), um den Pfeiler mit derselben Nummer wie die Gondel zu finden. Sie müssen schnell einen Wegpunkt für den Pfeiler auf der Fahrt markieren. Wenn Sie die "VIP Gondel" nicht gefunden haben, könnten Sie natürlich Wegpunkte für alle Masten auf der Bahn markieren, bis Sie sie gefunden haben! Also, wenn Sie in Ischgl Ski fahren, haben Sie jetzt auch eine Ausrede, um mit Ihrem GPSr zu spielen.

Sobald Sie den Wegpunkt für den Pfeiler und die "VIP Gondel" Nummer haben, können Sie den projektierten Wegpunkt für den Cache markieren. Der Cache ist
(125 x VIP) - 2 Meter vom Pfeiler in Richtung
30 x VIP Grad und ist eine Munitionskiste.

Ischgl is the larger of the two villages that comprise the Silvretta Arena for winter sports. Three gondola lifts rise into the mountains from the village. We have enjoyed annual skiing holidays here for the last few years and have now combined it with geocaching. However, you don't need to ski to find this cache.

The start coordinates for the cache are close to the base station of the Pardatschgratbahn lift that was built in 1990. During our holidays, "Penguin" (now aged 8 years) has always noticed a particular gondola on the Pardatschgratbahn that is different from all the others. He got very excited when by chance it arrived at the base station just as we wanted to take the gondola and we rode in it. He wanted to place a geocache on this gondola, but that would not have worked, so instead we have set a puzzle that involves it.

The gondola in question is a "VIP gondola", because it has window stickers saying "*VIP*". You can only complete this cache when the Pardatschgratbahn lift is running because you need to spot this "VIP gondola", just as Penguin does, and note its number. There are about 200 gondolas on the lift, so you will have to pay attention.

The "VIP gondola" is however, quite a low numbered gondola. Once you know the number, you need to take a ride on the Pardatschgratbahn or else climb up the mountain beneath it to find the lift support pylon with the same number as the gondola. You will need to be quick if you are taking the ride, and make a waypoint for the pylon. Of course, if you have not found the "VIP gondola" yet, you could make waypoints for all the pylons on the lift until you do find it! So, if you are skiing in Ischgl, you now have an excuse to play with your GPSr as well.

Once you have the waypoint for the pylon and the "VIP gondola" number, you can project the waypoint for the cache. The cache is
(125 x VIP) - 2 metres from the pylon on a bearing of
30 x VIP degrees and is an ammo box.
