Geocache Description:

What better of a place for a travel bug hotel than an actual hotel? Just remember, What happens in Room 266, stays in Room 266.

No need to tear up the facade or get stung by guardrail bees. Don't stick your hands in places you wouldn't before you could earn a smiley. This cache comes with a slight twist. In fact in order to find this cache you just must do two simple tasks.

The first would be to ask the front desk for Room 266. That's right. We have been given our own room at the hotel just for our cache. While it is our very own room, it is rather small. No king sized bed. No jacuzzi tub. Heck, we didn't even get a coffee maker in our room. But what we lack in amenities, we make up from in coins and TBs, and hopefully some stories to remember. Your second (optional) task would be to log the cache with YOUR version of what happened in Room 266 during your visit.

This cache can be done 24 hours a day, rain or shine, and is truly handicapped available. This cache is placed at the former Holiday Inn...now it is the DoubleTree. This is the same venue as the GeoCoinFest 08 MEGA Event hosted in October 2008.

If the clerk at the front desk is unfamiliar with the room, simply explain to them that it is a lock-and-lock container behind the desk - most of the clerks are familiar with the "room" but sometimes a new staff member does not know of it yet.

This cache has been approved as an exception to the guidelines by Groundspeak.
