Geocache Description:

IN FLIGHT
Please keep the Cuckoo within the Province of New Brunswick and the State of Maine
This will allow the Cache Owners better access for maintenance.
This is a cache (and a travel bug) in a cache.
It is a parasite........., it is a Cuckoo.

Stay tuned and watch the cache-logs daily. Its location can change rapidly.

To find this GC you first have to find Cuckoo, Cuckoo (Please read the logs for its exact status)

The cache is named after the famous film with Jack Nicholson (1975). It has been chosen because of the name Cuckoo. The Cuckoo uses the nest and care of other birds to breed her eggs. This cuckoo will use other caches to travel around and she uses the co-ordinates of the hosting cache and the good care of the visiting geocachers. The co-ordinates of this cache are changing from time to time. When you are lucky and find the Cuckoo you can log both the "One Flew over the Cuckoo´s Nest" and the hosting cache. Everyone loves a 2-fer!
The cache is a nest box with a logbook and a tiny Cuckoo. The Cuckoo will not fit in all cache-boxes. It needs no presents, just a little attention. The Cuckoo is a present itself!!

Please Note:
NO Traders OR Hitch hiking Travellers PLEASE!

Please Note:
The TB attached to the cache is for mileage tracking; please do not separate the TB from the cache container or pick up the TB online. You may discover the TB if you wish.

Please Note:
In compliance with Groundspeak rules, this is a grandfathered travelling cache (we believe it to be the 3rd oldest still in existence). It is not a pocket cache (all pocket caches were discontinued a long time ago). Travelling caches MAY NOT go to event caches, or be logged while in a cacher's possession. All “found” logs must occur in a physical cache while it is nesting. (People may “discover” the attached TB at any time.) Cuckoo TB Link
To protect the cache for future play, all non-compliant logs will be deleted. The Cuckoo was nearly archived in the past because of someone violating this rule. If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please contact us at The Captain and the Wench (click to email)
