L’ascesa al Santuario ( 15 min ) per noi inizia con la vista di un affresco di C.Mauri, che raffigura la Madonna del Carmelo. Ancora un po' di faticoso cammino, per la scala montante, e si arriva al luogo che è prestabilita méta di visione e di preghiera. La chiesa dal lato architettonico nulla offre di notevole, ma coi recenti lavori di restauro è divenuta tanto graziosa e devota, tra le sue mura custodisce il dipinto quattrocentesco della Trinità e tanti particolari che invitano a prestar attenzione, sui muri, a destra e sinistra, stanno due nobili statue, in legno di Val Gardena che rappresentano Santa Rita da Cascia e Sant’Antonio da Padova. Dai muri laterali pendono due tele, opere egregie dell'artista Carlo Mauri ( anche il crocefisso all’esterno è opera sua). Su quella a sinistra è figurata la Beata Vergine del Rosario, comunemente appellata Madonna di Pompei. L'altra tela, a destra, vuol ricordare l'effigie d'un antico re di un piccolo stato bretone, S. Osvaldo. Il dipinto della Trinità , è reso venerando dalla leggenda e dalla tradizione. Una tradizione leggendaria ripete anche adesso che tre secoli addietro, quando le nevi e la pioggia e la mancata manutenzione hanno fatto cadere le parti laterali della antica cappella fu trovato integro il muro di fronte col dipinto, si pensò al miracolo e, per salvare dalla rovina la veneranda immagine, gli uomini di allora presero sù quel muro e lo trasportarono nella chiesa di Cavadino, ma nella notte, all'insaputa degli uomini, quel muro ritornò a Pobiano. Sembra più accettabile la voce che dice che al tempo della peste del 1630, per implorare la cessazione del morbo, i viventi oppressi anche dalla carestia, abbiano fatto voto di erigere il corpo di una chiesa per salvare l'affresco e rimetterlo in onore; ed infatti il modo costruttivo dei muri è proprio di quei tempi. All’esterno, di bellezza incomparabile è senza dubbio la riproduzione materiale di una parte dei lontani Pirenei, dove, con lo sfondo di una grotta aperta nella roccia posa una statua della Benedetta Vergine di Lourdes. Il cache è nascosto in un muro di contenimento poco lontano. Buona caccia
