Geocache Description:

While the first two were easy the third cache in the Extreme Offroad series is bringing the goods. To get this cache you will need a vehicle with 4-wheel drive or you will have to park and hike in about 3/4 of a mile. While #3 isn’t the cream of the crop (we are not requiring you to get lift kits yet) it does take you to some great trail riding.

I have explored many miles of the trails back here, and have found some great offroading. The trails back here range from basic “fire roads” to some washed out steep climbs that require a bit of navigating. There is also some mud pits ranging from minor to major if that is your thing, but they can also be avoided for the most part if rocks are more your style.

I have updated the waypoints for this cache (08 MAR 09) to guide you to the start of the trail closes to the cache better. If you are planning to park and walk then I recommend doing so at the Whites Knob Trail Head. I recommend checking out the Indian Burial Mound at the given waypoint, but be advised the Woods Resort owns this road and you are only supposed to use it for “access” from 5am to 6pm.

CACHE INFO: Cache is a green ammo box. Area is public hunting land so PLEASE use caution during hunting season.
