Der Tobajer Kogel besteht aus vulkanischer Asche und Tuff mit Einsprengungen von Olivin und Hornblende. Er liegt am Rande des Stremtales und fällt besonders durch seine geometrisch gezeichnete Form auf. Neben dem Schlossberg der Burg Güssing bildet er – auch für den geologischen Laien deutlich erkennbar – ein äußeres Zeichen für ehemalige vulkanische Tätigkeit hier an der Thermenlinie.
The Tobajer Kogel consists of volcanic ash and tuff with clasts of olivine and hornblende. He is on the verge of Stremtales and is particularly drawn by its geometric form. In addition to the Schlossberg Castle Güssing he is - even for the layman geological obvious - an external sign of former volcanic activity here at the Spa line.
