Geocache Description:

Here's a puzzle cache that you will not be able to google your way to the solution of. All you will have to do is think logically, and you'll be able to come up with the answers. Co-ords are for the recommended trailhead.

The first 5 people to find this cache at the event will find sheets inside the logbook with "1st to find" etc.. written on them. Bring them back to HomerJFong to get a little prize.

This cache is based on the classic TV game show, The Match Game. In particular, it is based on the Audience Match. It involved the contestant being presented with a simple phrase such as "-BLANK- BEAR". This phrase was given to a previous audinece at the show, and the top 3 answers were hidden behind the board. The contestant took suggestions from 3 of the 6 celebrities (which could include 'Polar', 'Yogi' and 'Grizzly'). The contestant could then use one of their suggestions or go out on their own. The contestant received $100 for the third-most-often given answer, $250 for the second, or $500 for the most popular answer.

For this cache, I'm presenting you with 8 Audience Matches that were used during the 70's run of the show. You're trying to find the $500.00 response. I'll give you two potential options for the $500.00. Your job is to pick which one of the two it is, and attach the associated number to determine the cache. The options include the $500.00 option and either the $100.00 option or one suggested by the celebrities or the contestant that didn't make the list.

Cache is at:

43.2A.000

80.20.000

Sample puzzle:

A: Florence (BLANK)

Nightingale = 2, Italy = 4

If you think A is the $500.00 response, place the number 2 in the A spot. If you think it was Italy, then place the number 4 in the A slot.

For what it is worth, the correct answer was Nightingale. With that, you can find the cache at 43.22.000, 80.20.000, which is nowhere near the actual location.

The cache is located at:

43.2A.BCD 80.2E.FGH

Remember, all of these are from Match Game episodes that were originally broadcast in the 70s. I'll try to avoid ones that are too obscure.

A: Ring Around The (BLANK)

Moon = 7, Collar = 8

B: (BLANK) Plant

Trans = 2, Egg = 3

C: Tumble (BLANK)

Down = 5, Weed = 7

D: Gene (BLANK)

Rayburn = 5, Krupa = 9

E: (BLANK) Biscuit

Buttermilk = 8, Sea = 9

F: (BLANK) Your Hands

Wash = 7, Kiss = 8

G: Snap (BLANK)

Judgement = 4, Crackle & Pop = 7

H: I Got You (BLANK)

Babe = 1, Covered = 8

The cache is a peanut butter container wrapped in camo tape. You should be able to see the Expressway from where the final is.
