Sanctuary
This cache is located near the Fort Whyte Alive nature centre and accessible all seasons. Close to the cache is a walking and biking path leading into the centre. While you are at the cache take the time to see one of Winnipeg’s best nature areas. Fort Whyte offers more than 600 acres of aspen forest, hiking trails and an interpretive centre which includes a Touch Museum as well as the Aquarium of the Prairies. Over 30 bison live in a sanctuary at the park. Deer are everywhere, and during the autumn the flocks of geese that come to spend the night cover the several large ponds and are a sight to see.
