After a lot of roamings, Thessaloniki’s Railway Museum found a
"shelter" in the building of Military train-stop, Municipality of
Eleftheriou Kordeliou, (Nea Monastiriou 128).
As you drive with western direction on Monastiriou road , at the
point N 40 40.131 E 022 53.272 you will meet a traffic light
and a road sign-board for Railway Museum. Make
inversion with Eastern direction to the centre of the city and in a
few metres at the point N 40 39.986 E 022 53.515 turn right.
In the internal space of museum can enter (only groups) after
agreement with Mr. Eftixi Kontopoulo (Tel. 6972-399873) the "soul"
of Museum. With his big love for the Railway and his efforts for
the collection of exhibits, finally became reality Thessaloniki’s
Railway Museum.
In the exterior space you can wander around the exhibits freely,
for photographing and in order to find the cache.
