Arcidekanský chrám svatého Jakuba je reprezentacní gotický mestský kostel.
The Archdeacon Church of St. Jakub is representative Gothic city church.
Pocátkem 14. století vyvstala potreba vybudování vlastního mestského kostela odpovídajícího tehdejšímu významu mesta Kutná Hora. Stavbu financovaly význacné patricijské rody spolu s horními úredníky.Stavba chrámu zapocala roku 1330 a probíhala až do roku 1420. Stavbu provádela pražská stavební hut a projevily se zde vlivy ze stavby blízkého Sedleckého kláštera. Puvodní projekt pocítal se dvema stejne vysokými vežemi, z nichž však druhá nebyla nikdy dokoncena, ponevadž poddolované podloží svahu, na nemž je stavba založena, nemelo potrebnou stabilitu. Vybudovaná vež je vysoká 86 m a podle ní se chrám také nekdy nazývá Vysoký. Od 30. let 15. století do roku 1620 byl chrám spravován utrakvistickou církví a mesto Kutná Hora se na cas v té dobe stalo sídlem utrakvistického biskupství.
Beginning of the 14th century there was a need to build own town church, corresponding importance to then town of Kutna Hora. The construction was financed by significant patrician families together with the mining officers. The construction of the church began in1330 and ran until 1420. The construction of the building carried out Prague´s construction works and is shown here influences of building of nearby Sedlec Monastery. The original plan supposed with two equally tall towers, however, the second of which was never completed, because of undermined bedrock slope, on which construction is based, lacked the requisite stability. The built tower is high 86 meters and according it is the church also sometimes called as The High. From the thirties of the 15th century until 1620 the Church was administered by Utraquist church and town of Kutna Hora, for some period at that time, became the seat of the bishopric of Utraquist church.

Kostel není otevren pro verejnost, a tak je návšteva možná jen pri mši.
Ther Church is not open to public so only visit is possible during Mass.
Cache je ukryta mimo centrum a pri hledání se dostanete do míst,
kde jsou nádherné výhledy nejen na kostel,
ale i na Jezuitskou kolej, Hrádek a místy i sv. Barboru.
Celá procházka je dlouhá asi kilometr, takže by ji mel zvládnout každý-
u finále je možnost pádu, a tak dávejte pozor na deti!
Trasa je pripravena tak, že až na samotný záver ji lze absolvovat bez GPS

The cache is hidden outsider the centre and in the search it will take you to places where there are not only beautiful views of the Church but also to the Jesuit College, Hradek and partly even to St. Barbara. The whole walk is about a mile long, so it could manage everybody- near the finale there is possibility of a fall so watch out of your children there ! The route is ready so that to the very end it can be accomplished without GPS. Remember that you need this map:
