Geocache Description:

Here's another midmountain cache courtesy of MidMountain Mountaineers. It isn't half way up as much as half way over.

This cache is hidden roughly half way over Rattlesnake Mountain if you're hiking from one end to the other. To do so, park cars at either end - Rattlesnake Lake to the east and Snoqualmie Point Park to the west - and enjoy the copious views along the dozen-mile trail.

At the trail junction at N47 27.551 W121 48.504 take the road headed east up hill. Find the trail behind the radio tower and follow it out to a rock outcropping and a great view point. Be careful as there are cliffs with steep drop offs. You probably don't want to bring young kids to this one. The cache is hidden in a somewhat conspicuous place, so please rehide carefully. You're looking for a medium lock-n-lock.

Congratulations to intolerable on the FTF!

This is an official MidMountain Mountaineers cache. We are a loose collection of hikers/cachers who think the journey is more important than the summit. Enjoy our caches about half way up!
