This cache is hidden roughly half way over Rattlesnake Mountain
if you're hiking from one end to the other. To do so, park cars at
either end - Rattlesnake Lake to the east and Snoqualmie Point Park
to the west - and enjoy the copious views along the dozen-mile
trail.
At the trail junction at N47 27.551 W121 48.504 take the road
headed east up hill. Find the trail behind the radio tower and
follow it out to a rock outcropping and a great view point. Be
careful as there are cliffs with steep drop offs. You probably
don't want to bring young kids to this one. The cache is hidden in
a somewhat conspicuous place, so please rehide carefully. You're
looking for a medium lock-n-lock.
Congratulations to intolerable on the FTF!
This is an official
MidMountain Mountaineers cache. We are a loose collection of
hikers/cachers who think the journey is more important than
the summit. Enjoy our caches about half way
up! |
