Get Your Kicks On Route 66
Enjoy your drive down the Mother Road.
The intent of this series is to point out
historic or unique places along old route 66 between IL and CA. It
is NOT meant to be a power trail as caches may be 50 miles or more
apart. Stop and enjoy these sights along the way.
As this area came open I thought I would place a RT 66 cache here
and hope it has better luck with muggles than it's previous cache.
This cache highlights an overlook off of Old 2 lane RT 66. From the
overlook you can see the whole Piney River Valley and a really
great looking RR bridge and trestle. Also in this area you see the
old "curbs" that were put on old 66 to keep cars on the road but
ending up turning some of them over.
The cache is a 35 MM film container with a log sheet but no pencil.
Please bring your own pencil or pen. I hope you enjoy this cache
and all the others along RT 66. Please enjoy your trip down the
"Great Mother Road"
