Geocache Description:

Cache is in a metal container. It has been camoed to blend into the area.

Back in the spring of 1848, a small canon located on the beach vanished. It was governer Richard B. Mason who fined Santa Barbara five hundred dollars for the missing canon.The cache location is also the former sight of the Potter hotel. The hotel streched all the way to state street. Before that ,it was the sight of an indian village.
