Po stopach husitu
V 15. století,
v období husitských válek, se v našem
kraji nekolikráte objevily oddíly husitských
vojsk. Chteli bychom se s Vámi podelit o výsledky
našeho bádání na tomto poli.
Tato druhá cache Vás
zavede tam, odkud je nádherný výhled na
místo, na kterém dne 6.11. L.P. 1423 (tento rok bude v budoucnu duležitý a proto
si jej zapamatujte) rozbila husitská
vojska, našeho již známého hejtmana Jana
Hvezdy z Vícemilic, své ležení na ceste
od hradu Štamberka
(GC13B8Q)(jehož majitelé - páni z Hradce
patrili k významným odpurcum kalicha), který
úspešne dobila a vyplenila, pres místo dnes
zvané „Studánka Páne“
(GC172F6), u kterého mela své predchozí
ležení. Toto místo je v okolí souradnic N
49° 15,167‘ E 015° 18,896‘. U cesty nedaleko
tohoto místa zvaného „Na
Žižkominách“, na vecnou pamet
husitským bojovníkum, byl roku 1929 vztycen obelisk,
nazývaný dnes „Žižkuv
kámen“

Položili jsme si
otázku, proc se vojska hejtmana Jana Hvezdy z
Vícemilic utáborila zrovna zde. V prubehu
badatelského úsilí jsme zjistili, že na
tomto míste koncil les a v údolí, tak jako
doposud, tekl potok s pramenitou vodou a zvedové
husitských oddílu zjistili v okolí (souradnice
N 49° 16,198‘ E 015° 18,508‘)
táborící oddíly
zneprátelené strany. Byly to oddíly
vedené Menhartem z Hradce.
Menhart z Hradce
(Menhard z Hradce) (*1390 N 49° 38,086‘ E 013°
07,288‘ †1449). Stoupenec kališnicko –
katolické aliance. Zúcastnil se mimo jiné i
dobití hradu Lopata Habarta z Lopaty u obce
Štáhlavy (L.P.1432 - N 49° 40,263‘ E
013° 30,100‘) a také památné bitvy u
Lipan (30.5.1434 - N 50° 1,713‘ E 014°
56,227‘). Dne 30.12.1437 byl zvolen
nejvyšším purkrabím, jedním ze
šesti pánu – správcu Ceského
království po dobu, než na trun usedl
král Albrecht Rakouský (1437-1439) (*16.8.1398
†27.10.1439) a ujal se vlády.
Zpet k našim
oddílum hejtmana Jana Hvezdy z Vícemilic. Zde na
míste kryti lesem se pripravovali na
rozhodující bitvu. Kde a kdy došlo k

Traces of hussites 2
In the 15th century,
during the era of Hussite wars, troops of the Hussite army had
ventured into our region several times. We would like to share with
you the results of our research in this area.
This second cache is going to lead
you to a beautiful lookout to a location, where on 6. 11. A.D. 1423
(note this year as it will be important
later),Hussite troops faithful to our
favorite hetman, Jan Hvezda of Vícemilice, encamped on their
way from the Castle Štamberk
(GC13B8Q)which they had successfully ransacked and looted.
Moving from their previous camp in a place nowadays called
„The Spring of the Lord“
(GC172F6), they settled in the vicinity of N 49°
15,167‘ E 015° 18,896‘, also called „Na
Žižkominách“. Here, as a permanent reminder
of Hussite fighters, an obelisk has been erected in the year 1929,
and entered local lore as „Žižka’s
rock”

We found ourselves
asking the question, why would Hvezda’s troops choose this
very spot? With some research effort, we have discovered that a
forest used to end here, and just like today, a spring water creek
flowed through the valley. Hussite scouts had spotted nearby
(coordinates N 49° 16,198‘ E 015° 18,508‘)
camping units of adversaries. They were troops led by Menhart of
Hradec.
Menhart of Hradec
(*1390 N 49° 38,086‘ E 013° 07,288‘
†1449), sided with Chalice-Catholic Alliance. He had
participated, among others, in conquest of Castle Lopata, belonging
to Habart of Lopata near Štáhlava town (A.D.1432 - N
49° 40,263‘ E 013° 30,100‘), and in the
memorable Battle of Lipany (30.5.1434 - N 50° 1,713‘ E
014° 56,227‘). On 30.12.1437 he was elected Supreme
Steward, one of the six lords – custodians of the Czech
kingdom, until King Albrecht of Austria (1437-1439) (*16.8.1398
†27.10.1439) entered rule.
Back to our troops of
hetman Jan Hvezda of Vícemilice. Here, covered by the
forest, they were getting ready for their deciding battle. Where
and when this memorable fight took place, and further fate of Jan
Hvezda of Vícemilic and his faithful comrades, shall be
revealed in another continuation of our series.....
Starting coordinates
shall take you the the place where the Hussite scouts were likely
to first spot the units of Menhart of Hradec, in waiting on a
nearby hill; one could also see the camp of Jan Hvezda’s
troops from here. To find out the final coordinates, you will need
the date of the memorable Battle of Lipany, in the
