Get Your Kicks On Route 66
Enjoy your drive down the Mother Road.
The intent of this series is to point out
historic or unique places along old route 66 between IL and CA. It
is NOT meant to be a power trail as caches may be 50 miles or more
apart. Stop and enjoy these sights along the way.
This cache features the only remaining remnants of the small town
of Hooker MO. The Church and cemetery both date back to 1900 and
served the citizens of the small community for years.
The two lane version of RT 66 passed right in front of the church
and cemetery. The original RT 66 was extremely curvy and in this
area there are still examples of both the original two lane as well
as a long stretch of the four lane highway. When the 4 lane highway
was put in it straightened out the curves and bypassed a lot of the
small towns.
Take some time to explore the different types of RT 66 highway that
are located in this area
Enjoy your trip down the "Great Mother Road" and I hope you are

This cache is a micro (pill bottle size) hidden in a different way.
