Lake Rebecca Leafjumper Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

FSU*Noles: Stopped by today to pull the container and archive this cache, it was in pretty rough shape and it's time to put this one to rest. Four years and 111 visits, not bad for this far out in the country...thanks for visiting, everyone!

Geocache Description:

A quick and easy Kids and Family-friendly cache, in the 2,200-acre Lake Rebecca Park Reserve!

Cache Details

This cache is hidden just off the trail that winds around Lake Rebecca - it's quite a pretty and pleasant stroll along the shoreline, most any time of year. This park reserve is also one of the sites for the Trumpeter Swan restoration program, and if you're lucky, perhaps you'll catch a glimpse of the swans along the way!

This is one of my family's favorite parks, and we often come here to walk, play, picnic, and take pictures. Our favorite time is Fall, as this park is spectacular when the colors change! Often times the kidlets will gather up huge piles of leaves to jump into, hence the name of the cache. The picture on this page was taken not far from where this cache is hidden...we hope you enjoy the park, trails, and caches here as much as we do!

Location, Parking, and Access

Best access to this cache is from the main park entrance. Park at the lot closest to the cache and head towards the lake, and you'll see the trail right along the shore. You'll be sharing this trail with BMX'ers, so keep an eye out for fast movers!

You're looking for a large-ish Lock 'n Lock, hidden in the usual sort of place. It starts out stuffed to the brim with trinkets hand-selected by the 'Noles kidlets from their own personal collection, assorted camping essentials, a Red Jeep travel bug, a geocoin, and other geo-treasure. As always, have fun and happy hunting!
