Die Geschichte der Burg Efferen lässt sich bis ins 13. Jahrhundert
zurückverfolgen. Das heutige Herrenhaus wurde 1769 auf den
Fundamenten der mittelalterlichen Burg errichtet. Dabei wurde aber
der alte Turm beibehalten und ist bis heute erhalten, die Turmhaube
allerdings wurde ersetzt, sie stammt aus der Barockzeit. Die Burg
ist heute in Privatbesitz und wird bewohnt.
Der Cache liegt auf öffentlichem Gelände, das Burggelände muss
nicht betreten werden.

The "Hürth Führt" caches take you to some beautiful or interesting
places in Hürth.
The history of the Burg Efferen goes back to the 13th century.
Today's manor was built on the fundaments of the medieval castle in
1769. Thereby the old tower was kept and is still conserved, only
the tower cupola was replaced, it dates from the baroque era.
Nowadays the castle is in private property and is inhabited.
The cache is located on public ground, you don't need to enter the
castle grounds.
