Conta-se que, um dia, um emigrante português residente
no Brasil caminhava pelas estradas brasileiras, quando se sentiu
cansado e resolveu sentar-se no que lhe pareceu um tronco de
árvore. Então, subitamente, o tronco começou a movimentar-se e,
olhando, o emigrante viu que se tinha transformado numa cobra
gigantesca. Nessa hora de aflição, o homem apelou para a boa
vontade da Senhora do Alívio, prometendo-lhe a pele da cobra, caso
a santa a
matasse.
Com a força da Senhora, o emigrante conseguiu pegar na faca de mato
que levava à cintura e lutou muito com a possante criatura, até a
matar. Em agradecimento e cumprimento da promessa, trouxe a pele da
cobra para Portugal, oferecendo-a à Nossa Senhora do Alívio, no seu
santuário.
Aí estão expostas
outras peles de cobra, vindas de diversas partes do Mundo, de
lugares onde portugueses passaram apuros e apelaram à ajuda da
Nossa Senhora do Alívio. Aproveitem para visitar o santuário, que
foi alvo de uma restauração recente.
Para encontrarem a cache, necessitam de ir ver a pele
da cobra na "Casa das Promessas" (coordenadas fornecidas),
atenção que não está sempre
aberto, normalmente está durante o dia no horário normal de
expediente e verificar qual
o ano (ANO). Em alternativa, podem
sempre perguntar a alguém...

It is said that one
