Mortarman11c: Well folks, with the final withdrawal of our troops I am archiving this cache. Ironically I was at BIAP on the 16 Dec 2011 and brought out a final load of equipment and personnel. I was told it was the LAST cargo load out. I was going to recover the cache, but I said, what the hell, leave it in place just in case someone wants to look for it. I say to you, if you find it, please let me know and I'll keep it active. Until then I'm shutting her down. It's been real. March 2003- Dec 2011. Welcome home brothers! Airborne! All The Way!

Geocache Description:

Located at the Baghdad International Airport,watch out for muggles and the occasional base attack.

CACHE HAS BEEN MOVED FROM ORIGINAL POSITION!!! HINT BELOW IS NO LONGER A FACTOR UNLESS I GET THE CACHE MOVED BACK TO ORIGINAL SPOT.

This cache was placed with the aircrew geocacher in mind. The other caches on this base are to far away for aircrew to get to in their short ground stays. Depending on where your jet is parked you can be less than 500 feet away. So finish that download and upload and come find this one!!!

I placed this cache at 0 dark thirty after finishing a download. Cache is a logbook and pen in a ziplock bag. I'd appreciate any local cacher in the AO putting it in a better container that will fit into the hiding place. Also please let Crash Rescue know it is close to them!

The TB in place is the guardian of the cache. Please leave in place unless your going to another base in-country.

Thanks to abnduo&spawn for the info for folks on landside. NOTE TO ALL: This cache is on the other side of the checkpoint. If you have the creds to get there, then by all means tell them you are going over to Crash Rescue which is about 50 meters away from the cache!

Difficulty rating is 3.5 for outside the flightline, and 1.5 for inside. Use your friends to gain access to this one!! AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY!
