South Crest Trail accessed via Canyon Estates hiking area.
My first hide. I really enjoy this hike for the waterfall (during periods of run-off), some nice views, and the changing colors during the Fall (as I learned during my first Fall hike on this trail today). Cache is a large lock and lock container. Location is a few feet off the South Crest Trail, a little over half a mile from the location of Sandia Birthday Cache #1. Park at N 35 05.377, W 106 23.493 (per directions to the above cache). Placed the cache with the help of a couple of friends, including one (the titular Phil) who had never been geocaching before. Hope you enjoy!
