Lembro que a eventual reactivação desta cache passará pelo mesmo processo de análise como se fosse uma nova cache, com todas as implicações que as guidelines actuais indicam.

Se no local existe algum container, por favor recolha-o a fim de evitar que se torne lixo (geolitter).

This cache will show you one of the best modern design places of Almada - and one of our favourite ones :)
Go inside Almada Forum and enjoy the art pieces that usually no one really notices

Some facts

Almada Forum is Portugal's second largest shopping center covering 110.000 m2 of retail, leisure and food court on three levels. It opened in 2002 and attracts more than 18 million visitors a year.
The conceptual design is from AM's inhouse design group T&T Design.
This buiding has been awarded with several important design awards:

In 2003 Almada Forum won the international Mipim Award.
2004 - Full Design Award, the highest recognition in the Design and Development Awards competition.

The Mermaid

This statue represents the water element and its connection to the Portuguese history and discoveries. But have you really looked at the mermaid?
What is she doing and why does she have that look on her face? ;)
From the mermaid you need to know the number of different shades of blue from the tiles that cover her.

The waterfall

Here, under the huge wood and glass dome, you used to find a waterfall that connected all of the building floors, in representation of the earth element.
Since this element is no longer available, you should count the number of wood pillars that support the glass dome.

The wind statue - aka cactus :)

Some people call it a cactus, some others say that it resembles a lava lamp... But the official explanation is that it represents the wind ;)
You better go there and see it for yourself!
Here you just have to count the blueish branches of the statue.

The sky pyramid

Under this pyramid you can watch light and laser shows after sunset.
This side of the building is dedicated to the air and the paintings on the wall resemble the Da Vinci "touch of God". It's fascinating how modern design and classical art can merge so smoothly.
Have you ever looked up at these paintings?
Here you'll need to count how many Moon phases are there under the flying lady (on the floor).

The cache

To find the cache you will have to go outside, to the front water gardens.
Take out your GPSr and start calculating the final coordinates.
Do you still remember the:

Number of different shades of blue from the tiles that cover her? (A)
Number of wood pillars that support the glass dome? (B)
Number of blueish branches of the colorful statue? (C)
Number of Moon phases under the flying lady? (on the floor) (D)

Take those values and replace them in these formulas:

N 38º 39.(D-A)(2xC)(C-A)
W 009º 10.(2xA)(B-1)(D-B)

This is a no trade cache, please!

Good luck!! And beware that you shouldn't take pictures inside the building or to the mermaid, since it is private property.
Also if you are approached by the security people clarify the situation by explaining you are enjoy the art as a part of geocaching ;)
