Geocache Description:

A.K.A The Noble and Most Ancient House of Rowling.

A potter down Offa's Dyke Path after visiting J.K.Rowling's childhood home in Tutshill.

Joanne Kathleen Rowling moved to Church Cottage at the age of nine. She attended Tutshill C of E Primary School nearby and then Wyedean Comprehensive in Chepstow. During the nine years she lived here she drew on many people, places and experiences which she later featured in the Harry Potter series.
Some examples are that Ron was modeled on a Ford Anglia driving Sixth Form friend, the Forest of Dean was the blueprint for the Forbidden Forest and a place which Harry Potter visited in The Deathly Hallows. The world champion quiddich team are the Tutshill Tornadoes and the term Muggles came from Mugglewort Wood, which is by our Sleep Well Old Friend cache.

The coordinates are for outside Church Cottage, which is next to the church that Joanne attended. Next door to the church is her primary school. A short wander may be required.

A. How many bells at the church?
B. How many pencils at the school?
C. How many chimney stacks (not pots) on Church Cottage?
D = A - C
E = B - C

The cache is located at N51°39.EDD W002°39.BC0

You can walk up the road to the second path marked Offa's Dyke Path. The cache has been placed in a location which will hopefully tempt you to walk slightly further along the path. If you do continue it is advisable to have pets on leads and children under close supervision, though paths to the cache are fenced and safe.
