The cache is placed in beautiful, tranquil woods not far from home, notable for the House Of York passing by just before they arrived at nearby Blore Heath and the bloody battle there.
Although the woods are close to the A53, they are lovely and peaceful and absolutely teeming with wildlife. While setting the cache we saw several rabbits, squirrels, pheasants and all manner of birds. Keep a look out as you walk to the cache and you are bound to see something.
The Public Footpath starts at N52 55.350 W2 25.776. Parking is by the side of the road near to this - please find a safe place and do not block any farm gates. Walk down the Public Footpath and onwards into the woods.
At the other side of the woods is the remains of Oakley Folly (hence the name of the woods). This can be found at N52 55.451 W2 25.528 and is reachable through the woods, although the path to it is sadly not a public right of way. You can also see the Folly from the car as you drive along the B5415 as it's right on the edge of the woods.
You are looking for a camo'd regular size tupperware container (no camo bag this time!).
In true Bolas Heathens spirit, bonus points are awarded to those who post a 'Self portrait with the cache' along with their log!
