DA PAZ - BARRAL- The Pigeon of Peace
No
lugar do Barral, freguesia de Vila Chã (S. João Baptista), existe o
Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Paz e um Museu com a maior colecção
de cristais de quartzo do país que merecem uma visita (terá de
pedir a chave a um morador, que toda a gente lhe saberá indicar). O
próprio altar-mor do templo é constituído por um bloco de cristal
com três toneladas de peso.
In a place called Barral, in
the village of Vila Chã (S. João Baptista), there is the Sanctuary
of Our Lady of Peace and a Museum with the biggest collection of
quartz crystals of the country deserving a visit from you
(you’ll have to ask for the key to a local inhabitant, that
everyone knows and tell you who it is). The main-altar of the
temple it is made of one big piece of crystal that weights three
tons!
