While tooling around Darrington and the Mt Loop Highway we decided
to stop here. We had no real reason except that our green trails
map showed a trail here and we hadn't ever been here before, so why
not?? The trail is short and not too steep.
On the way to the end of the trail we noticed this biggo tree, in
fact it's hard NOT to notice it, but I was hoping to place this
cache at the end of the trail. That was not to be.
The trail ended abruptly at the Sauk River and we were afraid to
place it near there, because we didn't want it to float away the
next time it floods.
It was just as well, because my friend (who thinks caching is a
waste of time) had her daughter (who thinks caching rocks) along
and the kid wanted to place the cache here. So, that's what we
did.
You are looking for a small-ish lock-n-lock box.
