El microcache se encuentra situado en la zona donde estaba ubicada la desaparecida Estación de Goya.
El ferrocarril Madrid-Almorox empezaba su recorrido en la estación de Goya, en los aledaños del Puente de Segovia y Paseo de Extremadura. Se llamaba así por encontrarse próxima a los terrenos que fueron propiedad del pintor Francisco de Goya, conocidos como " La Quinta del Sordo". La estación comenzó a construirse en 1883 y era la cabecera del ferrocarril de vía estrecha que partía de Madrid, y pasaba por Navalcarnero, dirigiéndose hacia Villa del Prado y Almorox.
La estación fue diseñada por el ingeniero Fernando María de Castro.
Se trataba de una estación modesta y de pequeñas dimensiones, la cual apenas disponía de los servicios mínimos que debía tener una estación de ferrocarril, nada que ver con las del Norte, Delicias o Atocha.
Apartada del centro de la ciudad y con el río Manzanares de por medio, supuso una desventaja por la desconexión con otras líneas ferroviarias y con los mercados de abastos. Este inconveniente trajo consigo que uno de los objetivos principales que se marcaron los gestores de este ferrocarril fuese acometer el proyecto de enlace de esta estación con la red de vía ancha y con otras vías de acceso a los mercados centrales de la capital. Pero este plan nunca llegó a realizarse.
La decadente situación de la línea y la ausencia de futuros proyectos que aliviasen tal situación, provocaron el cierre de esta y el posterior derribo de la estación en 1965. Su lugar lo ocupan hoy edificios de viviendas.
La cervecería "La Estación", situada en la calle Saavedra Fajardo nº 32 de Madrid, (N40 24.726 W3 43.476), donde antiguamente los viajeros esperaban la salida de su tren de la estación de Goya es el ultimo vestigio existente de este ferrocarril. En su interior exponen numerosas fotos antiguas, las cuales nos ayudan a trasladarnos a antaño y ver como era la estación y sus alrededores en sus buenos tiempos.
Junto a este local también se puede ver donde vivió el pintor Francisco de Goya señalado por una placa en la fachada del edificio.

The Madrid-Almorox railroad began the route in Goya Station, close to Puente de Segovia and Paseo de Extremadura. The station was called thus to be near to the lands property of the painter Francisco de Goya, known like “La Quinta del Sordo". The station began to be constructed in 1883 and it was the beginning of the narrow-gauge railway that departed from Madrid, and crossed Navalcarnero, going towards Villa del Prado and Almorox.
The station was designed by the engineer Fernando Maria de Castro.
It was a modest station and small dimensions, which it could hardly had the minimum services that a railway station must have, smaller than Norte, Delicias or Atocha.
Far from city centre and with the Manzanares river by means, it supposed a disadvantage by the disconnection with other railway lines and the markets of supplies. This disadvantage brought about that one of the primary targets that the managers of this railroad marked was to undertake the project of connection of this station with the network of wide route and other access roads to the central markets of the capital. But this plan never got to be made.
The declining situation of the line and the absence of future projects that alleviated such situation caused the closing of this one and the later demolition of the station in 1965. Their place occupies buildings of houses today.
The brewery “La Estación”, located in the street Saavedra Fajardo nº 32 of Madrid (N40 24.726 W3 43.476), where the travellers waited for their train departure from Goya Station, is the last existing vestige of this railroad. In its interior they expose numerous old photos, which transfer to us to the past and to see like the station was and its environs in its good times.
Next to this premises also it is possible to be seen where the painter Francisco de Goya lived indicated by a plate in the front on the building.
